KARACHI: The mystery of murder of a civilian by cops in plain clothes is partly solved with details that have come forth through initial investigations and a statement of the injured Dil Nawaz, who has also been accused of playing his key role in murder of the civilian Abrar, who lived in Keamari in Karachi West.

According to details, Abrar had posted an ad on an online shopping website, which attracted a buyer and the seller, Abrar and the buyer Dil Nawaz had agreed to meet a safer location near Lucky Star in Saddar area of Karachi.

Abrar had his friends with him, who kept at a little distance probably to prevent any cheat. Abrar remained in constant contact over cells with his companions and reported to them that the buyer was offering Prize bonds instead of Cash on which Abrar’s friends advised him to stop the deal and come back.

However, the buyer in his car had his mind to cheat on the seller by running away and had locked the doors of his car. The rear window remained open through which the seller Abrar tried to enter the buyer Dil Nawaz, who went on running in car during which Abrar had also struck with another car that passed from close him.

In the meantime, cops on duty in the area took notice of the situation and opened indiscriminate fire on the car leaving Abrar as dead on the sport while Dil Nawaz was injured with three shots he received. Dil Nawaz is being admitted in the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre under Police’s custody.

Sindh government has ordered for an inquiry into the tragedy and has appointed counter-terrorism department’s (CTD) additional inspector general (IG) of Police as inquiry chief.

Sindh home minister Sohail Anwar Siyal and IG Allah Dino Khoja have also taken notice of Abrar’s killing and ordered for complete investigations on the case.
