Pakistan International Airlines PIA suspended flights to the Afghan capital, Kabul on Thursday. Operation stopped due to heavy-handed interference by Taliban officials.

The suspension of flight operation came as Taliban government ordered the airline to cut ticket fair. However PIA is the only international company operating regularly outside Kabul.

PIA officials inform that they are suspending flight operations to Kabul from today due to heavy hand of the authorities.

Operations have suspended for an indefinite period. However, the decision was made against the backdrop of inappropriate behavior by Afghan officials.

The PIA decided that no aircraft would fly to Kabul without insurance.

Flights between Afghanistan and Pakistan have been extremely limited after Taliban’s government on Kabul.

The growing economic crisis has raised concerns about the future of Taliban-ruled Afghanistan.

A strong demand for flights and the central passport office in Kabul has been cordoned off as people travel again after reopening this month.
