Saudi Arabia To Ease Coronavirus Restriction From Oct 17

The Saudi Arabia Interior Ministry informs the prevention of Covid 19 would be relaxed from October 17.

The ministry added that the government would take steps for social distance. It will allow access to the country’s two holy places in Mecca and Medina for those who have received a full dose of the vaccine.

Authorities also lifted the ban on fully vaccinated people in closed places, gatherings, transportation, restaurants and cinemas.

He added, masks are no longer mandatory in public places, while they are still applicable at close venues.

Saudi Arabia’s national airline has announced that passengers who have received two doses of the COVID vaccine are allowed

The two-dose vaccine requirement was to begin on September 1. However, children under the age of 12 are exempt.

Authorities have advised passengers to check Tawakkalna app before booking tickets.

In August, Saudi Arabia allowed vaccinated passengers to travel directly to the kingdom from countries facing travel bans, including Pakistan.
