Meta (previously Facebook) is planning to introduce Novi Cryptocurrency wallet for WhatsApp instant payment. A few days ago, Facebook (now Meta) began testing its Novi cryptocurrency wallet. The first evidence of Novi wallet integration into the WhatsApp messaging app surfaces shortly after the test went live. Novi is a digital cryptocurrency wallet by Facebook.
Reports suggest that WhatsApp is testing the Novi digital wallet into the app. It will allow users in the United States to send and receive payments without leaving the messaging app. Facebook has previously expressed interest in integrating the Novi wallet into its family of apps and services, but this is the first time we’ve seen the Novi wallet in action in a Meta-owned app.
With the upcoming Novi Payments feature, WhatsApp users may have a new secure way to instantly exchange money with friends and family. The digital cryptocurrency wallet has no fees for instant money transfers. Novi prioritizes user privacy and information, the inclusion of the feature is completely compatible with the principles of WhatsApp.
Users will be able to add their bank account or link a card to the digital wallet. Moreover, it allows to withdraw money from the bank account, and view transactions and balance. Initially, Facebook created Novi’s digital Wallet for its cryptocurrency, Libra. Now, it aims to take over Remittances. It seems like a lot is changing after the Facebook new name. The company’s constantly striving to create a digital ecosystem covering all aspects of life.
The service is not available to the general public because WhatsApp is experimenting with how to integrate Novi in to the application. Moreover, it is unknown when the feature will be made available to the public. Additionally, it’s also possible that Novi wallet’s integration in WhatsApp Instant Payment will never see the light of day because of a lot of regulations that must be followed.
