Pillion riding banned in Karachi for Chehlum

Sindh Government has banned the pillion riding following the chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA) and martyrs of Karbala in Karachi. As per the notification that stated that the ban will be implemented from 16 to 17 September (today and tomorrow). All women, children, journalists, officers, and other employees with essential posts are excluded from the list. 

According to the IGP Sindh and Pakistan Rangers said to conduct peaceful religious activities of majlis and procession, it is important to impose a ban. Ghulam Nabi Memon, Sindh Police Chief has instructed to ensure strict security measures on the day of chehlum. Law enforcement and Sindh Rangers will both act together for public security The IGP also ordered snap checking regularly all over Sindh. 

Further, he said that the places like Mosques, Shrines, and Imambargahs, will follow tight security. Other than these, shopping malls, commercial areas, crowded bazaars, and markets will follow the installation
