Pakistan to drop 3 bowlers in a Tri-series match against New Zealand

At the Hagley Oval venue in Christchurch today, Pakistan will play the second game of their tri-nation Twenty20 international series. As per Pakistan Cricket Board, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain and Usman Qadir will not be available for today’s game.

The board said that Usman Qadir fractured his thumb while playing for Pakistan versus England. The 29-year-old bowler is thus taking a three-week break, which will end on October 16th.

Hasnain and Naseem Shah are battling a viral infection. According to the PCB, the pacers are unavailable for today’s game against New Zealand. At the Hagley Oval, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 21 runs in their opening game of the series, with the help of Rizwan’s incredible 50-ball 78 and some remarkable speed bowling.

Rizwan, who is now listed as the best T20 batsman in the world, smashed 50 balls for an unbeaten total of seven fours and two sixes. As he continues his dominance from the T20 series against England last month, when he struck a series-leading 316 runs, it was the 30-year-21st old’s half-century in the format.

Pakistan scored 167 points while holding their opponents to 146. The competition, which lasts a week, also features Bangladesh and the hosts, New Zealand. It is being used by the three teams to get ready for the T20 World Cup in Australia.
