Sindh Govt to build 700,000 destroyed houses in a disastrous flood

Amid the worse climate crises, Pakistan is facing that had engulfed more than 20 million people. Several injured, numerous homeless, thousand disease-inflicted, and hundreds of livestock killed.

In a recent development, the Sindh government has decided to assist flood-affected people with 700,000 to build houses in the Sindh province. Sindh government in collaboration with World Bank will give Rs 300,000 to the owners whose entire houses are destroyed and Rs 50,000 to the partially ruined houses.

In a cabinet meeting, various ministers raised the question of money assurance to deserving families. A suggestion gran money, the government can construct houses. However, as per ministers, the Sindh government has not had adequate capacity to build houses at its capability.

To ensure the visibility of the cash will be dispersed in installment plans after the verification via a legal process. Murad Ali Shah CM said this will be challenging to contribute the money and to ensure it is spent all right.

A committee has been constituted for the people housing society. An international organization like WHO (World Health Organization) had assured to aid and support health care in the damaged areas. Dr. Palitha Gunarathna Mahipala WHO representative in Pakistan said to continue working for the benefit of the health system in Pakistan. Mahipala said, that the destructive floods have affected numerous areas and health services are deplored.
