Malala Yousufzai, Nobel laureate has arrived in Karachi, Pakistan on Tuesday (today) to visit the flood-affected areas. Yousufzai was spotted in tight security with her parents. Malala has been vocal about the girl’s education and has been running her voice for the damage beyond repair to the flood victims.
Under the spell of monsoon floods that had engulfed one–third of the country making numerous homeless and thousands killed. On the contrary, thousands of animals, crops, and homes are also devastatingly affected.
Yousufzai has been running Malala Fund for flood sufferers. She issued an emergency relief grant in the first week of September to the International Rescue Committee (IRC). The platform will assist psychological support to girls and women in both Sindh and Balochistan.
The funding includes emergency education services for girls so that they can continue their right to education. The fund will also repair the damage to the government schools.
