Organization of Islamic Cooperation has condemned in the strongest terms the vile act of desecration of the Holy Quran by far-right activists in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden.
In a press release of OIC Secretariat in Jeddah, the OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha urged the Swedish authorities to take necessary measures against the perpetrators of this hate crime.
He calls for increased international efforts to prevent re-occurrence of such acts and for solidarity to fight Islamophobia.
The OIC secretary-general further said that this provocative action committed repeatedly by far-right extremists targeted Muslims, insulted their sacred values.
