The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is set to be the biggest cricket event in the world, with 10 teams competing for the desired trophy in India. This tournament will start from October 5 to November 19, with 45 league matches, two semifinals, and a final.

Pakistan, one of the most successful teams in the history of the World Cup, will play nine league matches against all the other teams. Pakistan will start their campaign against two qualifiers on October 6 and 12 in Hyderabad. The identity of the qualifiers will be determined by a separate tournament that will be held in Zimbabwe in June-July 2023.

Pakistan’s biggest challenge will come on October 15, when they will face their arch-rivals India in Ahmedabad. The match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, which is the largest cricket stadium in the world and can accommodate 132,000 spectators. As this will be the first time both teams have played each other in a World Cup match since 2019, the match is predicted to draw a significant crowd and a significant television audience.

Pakistan will also face tough opponents like Australia, England, New Zealand, and South Africa in their league matches. Green Shirts boys will play Australia on October 20 in Bengaluru, Afghanistan on October 23 in Chennai, South Africa on October 27 in Chennai, Bangladesh on October 31 in Kolkata, New Zealand on November 4 in Bengaluru, and England on November 12 in Kolkata.

Pakistan will hope to qualify for the semifinals, which will be held in Mumbai on November 15 and in Kolkata on November 16. If Pakistan qualify for the semifinals, they will play in Kolkata. If India qualifies for the semifinals, they will play in Mumbai unless they are playing against Pakistan, in which case they will play in Kolkata. The semifinals and the final will have reserve days.

The final of the World Cup will be held on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. And the winner of the final will lift the trophy and become the world champion.

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will be the first time that India will host the tournament on its own, after co-hosting it with other countries in 1987, 1996, and 2011.

ICC Chief Executive, Geoff Allardice, said that he was delighted to release the schedule of the World Cup, which is always a huge occasion ahead of any global event. He said that hundreds of millions of fans around the world will be part of what he hopes will be the greatest ever Men’s Cricket World Cup.
