World’s Largest Bird Aviary to open in Islamabad’s F-9 Park

In a recent development, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board has given the green light to the construction of the world’s largest bird aviary in Islamabad’s F-9 Park. This remarkable ten-acre aviary will serve as a breeding ground for a diverse range of bird species from across the globe. Not only will it provide a sanctuary for these magnificent creatures, but it will also play a crucial role in preserving biodiversity while simultaneously educating and entertaining park visitors.

The CDA Board adopted the DBOT concept (Design, Build, Operate, and Transfer) for the construction of the aviary, which will carried out through an open auction. This approach ensures transparency and efficiency in the development process, enabling the project to executed smoothly.

Furthermore, the CDA Board has also approved the sale of 20 plots in the highly sought-after Capital Street Islamabad. By giving the go-ahead for the open sale, the board aims to attract investors and promote economic growth in the area. In line with this, the board has emphasized the importance of formulating rules and regulations for Capital Streets that are beneficial to potential investors, thereby creating an environment conducive to business development.

Looking ahead, the CDA Board has allocated an anticipated budget of Rs 150,948.20 million for the fiscal year 2023-24. With the Capital Development Authority expecting to spend Rs 150,095.74 million, the current budget projected to have a surplus of Rs 852.46 million. This financial planning reflects the authority’s commitment to effective resource allocation and responsible fiscal management.
