In a heartwarming tale of cross-border love, a 35-year-old Indian woman named Anju from Kailor, Uttar Pradesh, took a leap of faith and traveled to Pakistan to be with her lover, Nasrullah. According to Upper Dir District Police Officer (DPO) Mushtaq Khan, Anju is now living happily in her new home in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Anju’s journey began when her friendship with Nasrullah, a 29-year-old resident of Kulshoin village in KP’s district, flourished into love through their interactions on Facebook. Driven by a deep affection for Nasrullah, Anju decided to leave her country and traveled to Pakistan on a month-long visit visa.
The DPO confirmed that Anju had taken a divorce from her husband in India before embarking on her journey of love. Upon her arrival in Pakistan, Anju was welcomed by the locals, who showered her with gifts as a show of support and affection.
Nasrullah, on the other hand, clarified that there are no current plans for marriage, and Anju is expected to return to India once her visa expires. He shared that Anju is living in a separate room with female members of his family and emphasized that she is safe and well taken care of.
The district administration has provided adequate security for Nasrullah and Anju, ensuring their safety during this unique love story that has captured the attention of the community.
Anju’s husband, Arvind, back in Rajasthan, remains hopeful for her safe return. As the villagers, mainly Pashtuns known for their religious values, express their support for Anju, they eagerly anticipate her safe journey back to India.
