Kia has unveiled the first official images of the highly anticipated 2024 Sorento midsize SUV facelift, showcasing some significant design changes. Despite being a midcycle update, the refresh brings substantial visual revisions, ensuring the Sorento remains competitive and stylish in the ever-evolving SUV market.
The front fascia of the 2024 Kia Sorento has undergone a complete overhaul. The most noticeable change is the introduction of T-shaped headlights, complemented by an upper daytime running light strip that gracefully flanks the iconic Kia logo.
Interestingly, the Kia badge has been repositioned to the bottom of the hood, moving away from its traditional grille placement. Speaking of the grille, it also sports a new look, along with the lower air intake, which retains separate fog lights. Additionally, the vertical air curtains seem to have grown in size, adding to the SUV’s refreshed appearance. A silver skid plate adds a touch of ruggedness to the vehicle’s front profile.
Inside the 2024 Sorento, the cabin retains its familiar layout but comes with notable updates to the dashboard. The chunky vertical air vents in the center have been replaced with slimmer vents to accommodate a larger touchscreen infotainment system. The South Korean brand has modernized the climate controls, discarding the old-school display in favor of capacitive buttons, akin to those found in the EV6 and Sportage models.
Additionally, a fingerprint authentication system, borrowed from other Hyundai Motor Group models, adds a layer of security and convenience. To further enhance the interior’s ambiance, new interior color options have introduced, including Interstellar Grey, Volcanic S, Brown, and Cityscape Green.
