In a significant move, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has unveiled a series of innovative initiatives under the banner of “LDA at Doorstep,” aimed at enhancing services for senior citizens and overseas Pakistanis. This groundbreaking approach stems from a pivotal meeting led by LDA’s Commissioner and Director General (DG), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, following the recent visit of the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab.
In direct response to the Chief Minister’s directives, LDA has resolved to provide senior citizens aged 75 and above with complimentary services brought directly to their homes. This includes the hassle-free delivery of essential documents, starting without delay. To ensure swift implementation, Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa and DG LDA jointly championed the launch of the ‘LDA at Doorstep’ initiative, demonstrating their commitment to prioritizing the well-being and convenience of senior citizens.
Furthermore, the meeting underscored LDA’s dedication to addressing the needs of overseas Pakistanis. In a notable development, the processing time for applications from expatriates has been dramatically reduced to just 10 days – a substantial improvement from the previous 14-day processing period. This adjustment aligns seamlessly with the directives issued by the Chief Minister and reflects LDA’s dedication to providing efficient and responsive services to the overseas Pakistani community.
