Streamlined Fee Structure Revealed for E-Passports as Nationwide Rollout Begins
As part of the nation’s modernization drive, the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports, operating under the Ministry of Interior, has commenced the issuance of e-passports through all passport offices across the country, following the successful launch in Islamabad. This marks a significant step towards enhancing passport services for citizens.
In a pivotal move this June, the federal government introduced the much-anticipated e-passports, ushering in a new era of secure and efficient travel documentation.

For a standard 36-page e-passport with a 5-year validity, the fee set at Rs9,000. An expedited service for the same will be available at Rs15,000.Travelers in need of a larger 72-page e-passport can obtain it at a standard cost of Rs16,500, with an urgent processing option priced at Rs27,000.Those seeking a 36-page passport with an extended 10-year validity will charged Rs13,500 under the standard category, while an urgent issuance will incur a fee of Rs22,500.For a 72-page passport with a 10-year validity period, the standard fee is Rs24,750.
