In a much-anticipated announcement, Pakistani cricket presenter Zainab Abbas set to grace the stage at the ICC World Cup 2023, scheduled to kick off on October 5 in India. Expressing her gratitude on social media platform Twitter, Zainab conveyed her humility, stating that she “humbled to be presenting in India at the Cricket World Cup 2023.”

Earlier this week, the International Cricket Council (ICC) unveiled the star-studded commentary panel for the upcoming World Cup. This illustrious team includes renowned Pakistani cricket figures Ramiz Raja and Waqar Younis.

The commentary box will see the presence of other cricketing luminaries and World Cup winners, including Shane Watson, Lisa Sthalekar, Ravi Shastri, Aaron Finch, Sunil Gavaskar, and Matthew Hayden. Notably, Nasser Hussain, Ian Smith, and Ian Bishop, who famously called the thrilling 2019 World Cup final between England and New Zealand, will return to lend their voices to the tournament.

The ICC World Cup 2023 promises to be an exhilarating event, hosted in India, with ten nations vying for the coveted trophy. The tournament will run from October 5 to November 19, featuring matches across ten different venues. The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will serve as both the tournament opener and final venue.

The competition will follow a round-robin format, where all participating countries will engage in 45 league matches against each other. The top four teams will progress to the semi-finals, which scheduled for November 15 in Mumbai and November 16 in Kolkata, with reserve days in place for these crucial knockout matches.
