Commissioner Karachi Announces Updated Price List for Fruits and Vegetables

Commissioner Karachi, Mr. Salim Rajput, has recently unveiled revised price lists for both fruits and vegetables in the city. These new price lists come as a response to the rising inflation rate, which has reached 38.28 percent in the country. The move aims to provide relief to consumers and maintain price stability for essential food items.

In the updated fruit price list, Grade 1 bananas now officially priced at 77 rupees per dozen, while Grade 2 bananas come in at 58 rupees per dozen. For apple lovers, Grade 1 Golden apples set at 242 rupees per kilo, and Grade 2 apples at 224 rupees per kilo.

Pomegranate enthusiasts will find that Grade 1 pomegranates cost 200 rupees per kilo, with Grade 2 pomegranates priced at 178 rupees per kilo. Chikoo (sapodilla) lovers will also find options in this list, with Grade 1 chikoo priced at 152 rupees and Grade 2 chikoo at 132 rupees per kilo.

In the vegetable price list, Grade 1 potatoes listed at 72 rupees per kilo, while large onions come in at 94 rupees and small onions at 74 rupees. Those looking for cauliflower have choices as well, with Grade 1 cauliflower at 52 rupees and Grade 2 cauliflower at 25 rupees per kilo.

For those who prefer bottle gourds, they priced at 41 rupees per kilo, and long gourds at 38 rupees. Squash enthusiasts will find options with Grade 1 squash at 32 rupees and Grade 2 squash at 23 rupees per kilo. Tomato prices have also addressed, with Grade 1 tomatoes at 122 rupees and Grade 2 tomatoes at 63 rupees per kilo.

These measures will not only help consumers make informed decisions while shopping but also contribute to maintaining price stability in the market, making it a significant step towards addressing the current economic challenges.
