In a tragic incident on Sunday, a Pakistani-American national, Shahbaz Younus, lost his life while swimming at Sea View Beach.
According to SSP Imran Qureshi, Mr. Younus had visited the beach along with his two sons, staying in a beachfront apartment block. They were relishing their time in the water when an unexpected massive wave overcame them. Fortunately, a vigilant resident from the nearby apartments noticed their distress and promptly alerted the security guard, who courageously jumped into the water to assist.
The guard successfully rescued Younus and his sons, ensuring their safety, and immediately transported them to the hospital. Unfortunately, despite all efforts, Shahbaz Younus couldn’t be saved, and he tragically lost his life. His two sons, on the other hand, are currently receiving medical treatment.
This unfortunate incident serves as a solemn reminder of the unpredictable dangers of the sea. It underscores the importance of beach safety and the heroism displayed by individuals like the security guard who risk their lives to protect others.
