In a significant development, Pakistan has executed a successful flight test of the Ababeel Weapon System, as reported by the Islamabad-based Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency on Wednesday. The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) has disclosed that the test flight was conducted with the primary objective of re-validating various design aspects, technical parameters, and performance evaluation of different sub-systems within the weapon system.
The Ababeel Weapon System is a critical component of Pakistan’s defense strategy, with its purpose focused on bolstering deterrence capabilities and enhancing strategic stability within the region. This effort aligns with the broader framework of achieving Credible Minimum Deterrence through the operationalization of Full Spectrum Deterrence.
The successful launch event graced by the presence of General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), who observed the proceedings alongside senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division and Strategic Forces Command. The event also saw the participation of esteemed scientists and engineers from various strategic organizations.
