The Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took strict action against students found involved unethical act.

During the previous examination on September 10, 219 candidates, both male and female, were apprehended for using Bluetooth devices to cheat.

The Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has uncovered an additional 134 students suspected of being involved in the cheating controversy that marred the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) in 2023.

These individuals, including the alleged mastermind of the cheating scheme and his sibling, are already in police custody. The examination papers of these students will also be presented in court as evidence.

Meanwhile, the administration has imposed a two year ban on these students who were caught red handing while cheating.

According to the ETEA, they have acquired the rough work of approximately 3,100 candidates who participated in the MDCAT 2023.

This material is essential because it is believed that solving numerical questions would have been exceedingly challenging without it.

The ETEA is demonstrating a firm commitment to addressing this issue seriously and ensuring that all parties implicated in the scandal are held accountable.

The interim cabinet, led by Chief Minister Muhammad Azam Khan, made the decision on September 28 to conduct a reexamination of the MDCAT.

This time, the Khyber Medical University (KMU) will oversee the examination within a six-week timeframe, replacing the provincial testing body, ETEA.
