In a monumental stride toward revolutionizing public transportation in the bustling metropolis of Karachi, the Sindh government has officially launched the highly anticipated “Peoples Bus Service.” This groundbreaking addition to Karachi’s transportation infrastructure is all set to provide an efficient and accessible transit experience, with a distinct emphasis on its cutting-edge electric bus route, EV-2.
The Peoples Bus Service is making waves with its fleet of modern, air-conditioned red buses, each boasting a comfortable seating capacity of approximately 40 passengers, with dedicated spaces for women passengers. Notably, these buses also offer standing room for an additional 40 commuters, ensuring maximum inclusivity and convenience for all.
Keeping affordability at the forefront of their mission, the standard fare for most routes is a budget-friendly PKR 50. It’s essential to mention that Route 9, particularly after Malir Halt, has a marginally higher fare of PKR 100.
Distance: The EV-2 route spans 30 kilometers, covering a substantial distance within Karachi.Operational: The route is currently operational, catering to the transportation needs of the city’s residents.Stops: EV-2 serves numerous significant stops, including Bahria Town, Damba Goth, Toll Plaza, Baqai University, Malir Cantt Gate 5, Malir Cantt Gate 6, Tank Chowk, Model Mor, Jinnah Ave, and ultimately terminates at Malir Halt.
