In a recent development, the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGI&P) has introduced a new schedule for passport offices across the country, especially focusing on Islamabad. These updated timings are set to enhance service delivery during the winter season and will be in effect until further notice.
DGI&P Islamabad Office Operating Hours:
The DGI&P office in Islamabad will now be open to the public from 08:30 AM to 04:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This extended schedule ensures that individuals can avail of passport services during the entire workday. Additionally, employees will observe a 30-minute break from 01:00 PM to 01:30 PM for lunch and prayers.
Regional Passport Offices, Executive Passport Offices, and Service Counters:
For regional passport offices, executive passport offices, and service counters across the country, the operating hours have been adjusted to better serve the public during the winter. These offices will process passport applications and distribute passports between 09:00 AM and 02:00 PM from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, the offices will be open from 09:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
This change in schedule is aimed at optimizing the passport application and delivery processes and accommodating the needs of citizens during the winter season. The DGI&P remains committed to providing efficient and accessible passport services to the public.
