Bad News For Karachi University Students

Vice-Chancellor of Karachi University Dr. Khalid Iraqi have taken a decision regarding admissions and fees for BS and Masters programs for the upcoming academic year in 2024.

The KU administration has approved a 30% increase in fees for BS and Masters programs, effective for the academic year 2024. It’s important to note that this fee hike applies exclusively to the mentioned programs.

These decisions were reached during a session of the university’s academic council, which was presided over by VC Dr. Khalid Iraqi. The council also granted its approval for a new admission policy, which will be aligned with the existing undergraduate policy.

Crucially, the academic council has chosen not to adopt the new undergraduate policy introduced by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

The fee structure at KU has been revised for BS and Masters programs for the upcoming academic year, with a 30% increase receiving approval. However, this updated fee structure will not impact previously enrolled students.

Furthermore, the KU administration has opted to discontinue mandatory admission tests for BS 3rd Year. New admissions are scheduled to commence from October 30. These changes reflect the university’s evolving approach to admissions and fees for the forthcoming academic year.
