Instagram Subscription for Creators: Users Can Pay for Exclusive Content

Instagram Subscriptions is under testing where users will be able to pay for Exclusive Content from their favorite creators. The OnlyFans like service will let content creators to put posts and status only visible to their subscribed fans. The Meta-owned picture sharing App is currently testing the feature and is gearing up for a wider release.

Fans will have access to unique content and interactions with creators would be prioritized with Instagram subscriptions. Instagram announced earlier this year that it will explore the idea of creator subscriptions. It was later working on a feature that would offer exclusive Stories to subscribers only.

According to Instagram’s iOS App Store listings, the firm is now preparing to offer this feature. In the United States, Instagram’s app store listing now includes a new “Instagram Subscriptions” in-app purchase option. In the U.S, these subscriptions range from $0.99 to $4.99. The same app has also appeared on the Indian App Store, with a monthly subscription charge of Rs. 89.

Instagram, which is owned by Meta, has been developing a subscription function that appears to be largely influenced by OnlyFans. It will allow creators to supplement their income by allowing fans to pay a charge to access exclusive content such as tales and live videos.

Users may buy Instagram Badges to present creators during live sessions, and the new subscription option is available alongside them. Instagram Subscriptions are going to work in a similar way to Twitter Blue, where users may acquire exclusive tweets and other material.

Twitter Blue is the micro-blogging platform’s latest version of subscriptions. A subscribe button on a creator’s profile is already under testing by Instagram. Special content, such as stories and live videos, will be available to subscribers.

There will be opportunities for creators to see their, current members, and subscriptions expiries. Instagram will also let consumers change the name of their membership and the plans they subscribe to. Besides, it is working on a number of other features to increase financial potential for creators on the site.
