Shahid Afridi spoke about the 2011 World Cup controversy

Shahid Afridi has finally broken the silence on the 2011 World Cup controversy against Coach Waqar Younis. Shahid Afridi said that the lack of support from the Younis had made teams performance look weaker.

Afridi said that the selector, Muhammad Wasim should have not left it all alone to Babar Azam. He added all should have allied together including the captain, coach, and chief selector. The alliance would have formed a mutual decision.

The Boom Boom Afridi further said that all three should have form Pakistans team and not Babar Azams team. Lala seems unhappy with the support from the then chief selector, Waqar Younis in 2011. The rift between the captain and head coach had weakened the teams performance in 2011. Further, he mentioned that the results were the lessons for both Waqar and himself.
