This development comes following the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s announcement that Eid al-Adha will be observed on Thursday, June 29, across the nation. The decision received swift approval from the Prime Minister, and the Cabinet Division promptly issued a notification designating June 29 and 30 as public holidays for Eid al-Adha.
Expanding on the original notification, it has reported that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif decided to extend the holiday period by including June 28 as well. This additional day off expected to provide more time for individuals to engage in religious observances and spend quality time with their families. The formal notification for the June 28 public holiday expected to released by the Cabinet Division in the near future.
In alignment with the holiday schedule, the State Bank of Pakistan has announced its closure on June 29 and 30, due to the Eid al-Adha festivities. This closure aims to accommodate the celebrations and enable employees to partake in the religious and cultural significance of the occasion.
