Eid ul Adha 2022: Zil Hajj Moon sighted in India

The moon of Zil hajj is sighted in India. Eid ul Adha 2022 will fall on the 10th of July in India. Muslims will observe Eid from 10th July onwards. Eid dates will commence from the 10th to the 13th in India. It was announced by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee that the moon recorded no testimonies in India. Hence the first day of Zil hajj will observe on 1st July.

The feast of sacrifice is the oldest Islamic practice of slaughtering animals. The sacrifice was performed by Prophet Ibrahim for the will of Allah. The action displayed by Prophet Ibrahim is of submissiveness and compliance.

Muslims gather for Eid prayers in Mosque followed by a sermon. They share gifts, and exchange greetings to the fellow Muslims. Eid ul Adha is celebrated as a public holiday in India.
