In UAE, heavy rains, flood disrupte traffic, flights

In the United Arab Emirates, heavy rains caused flooding that disrupted traffic on roads and flights to the country. 

Private schools across the UAE were closed ahead of the storm and government employees were instructed to work remotely.

Meanwhile, the death toll in separate heavy flooding in neighboring Oman has risen to 18.
