YoWhatsapp, a fake mobile application is accused of stealing private data

A likewise fake mobile application of Whatsapp, by the name of YoWhatsApp, is circulating. The App is accused of stealing personal data. A security company, Kaspersky in a report revealed that the unofficial version is operating and stealing instant access.

The fake mobile application more or less is same as WhatsApp’s features and is featured as an ad on various other apps like Vidmate and Snaptube. However, YoWhatsApp connects two mobile numbers to one single account and has some features like anonymous messaging, viewing deleted messages, and password-protecting chats.

Kaspersky found that YoWhatsApp has stolen WhatsApp keys that allow hackers to control your account. Apart from these, there is another fake version like “WhatsApp Plus available. Interestingly these apps are not available on Google Play Store.
