The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a critical cyclone warning alert as a low-pressure system develops in the Arabian Sea. According to PMD reports, this evolving weather phenomenon, situated at a considerable distance from Pakistan’s coastal areas, anticipated to transform into a cyclonic storm within the next 24 hours.

Currently positioned approximately 1,810 kilometers away from Karachi, this low-pressure system signals the potential for cyclonic activity in the region. In a related development, another weather disturbance has identified around 1,750 kilometers south of Gwadar, further emphasizing the need for vigilance in the affected areas.

The PMD has mentioned that the low-pressure system may intensify into a depression, which is a precursor to a full-fledged cyclone. The projected path of this developing depression indicates a trajectory towards Oman, where it expected to gain cyclonic strength.

Fortunately, PMD provided assurance that no coastal areas of Pakistan are likely to directly affected by this weather system, which comes as a relief to residents along the country’s coastline.

Nonetheless, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) is urging citizens to remain cautious as the situation unfolds, emphasizing that weather patterns can change rapidly. Residents and authorities strongly encouraged to stay informed about the evolving weather conditions, take necessary precautions, and adhere to guidance from relevant authorities to ensure the safety of lives and property.
