Nation, on Saturday, observed the 128th birth anniversary of Madre Millat (mother of nation) Fatima Jinnah.
According to the details, she was born on 31st July in 1893 in Karachi - the capital city of Sindh province.
Fatima Jinnah obtained a dental degree from Dr. Ahmed Dental College of the University of Calcutta in 1923 and practiced as a dental doctor in Mumbai.
Carrying out struggle for winning a separate homeland for Muslims of Indian subcontinent, she worked side by side with father of the nation, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
She formed the Women's Relief Committee (WRC) in 1947 which later on played a major role in the formation of All Pakistan Women's Association (APWA).
Jinnah is still known for her passionate activism in various grounds of civil rights and Pakistan Movement.
