At Wembley, Tuchel believes Jurgen Klopp’s personality will entice most neutrals to support Liverpool.
Thomas Tuchel is aware that his Chelsea squad will face Liverpool in the FA Cup final on Saturday with little fan support.
The Blues are looking to avenge their Carabao Cup loss to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool on penalties in February.
The Londoners have been in turmoil since that match as a result of government sanctions against owner Roman Abramovich, who is planning to sell the club to a consortium led by Todd Boehler.
Tuchel on the FA Cup final
On Friday, he told reporters, “Kloppo is the maestro of being the underdog.”
“He can make you believe you’re the underdog versus Villarreal and Benfica, and it’s a miracle they’re even drawing against them.”
“He does it on a regular basis. That is where the sympathy comes from.”
“There’s nothing to be jealous of; Kloppo is a great guy, a great comedian, and one of the best coaches in the world at what he does.”
“Dortmund was a national favorite when he was coaching them. He now trains Liverpool, and you get the impression that the entire country adores Liverpool.”
“He deserves a lot of praise, and this is what you get when you play a team against him.”
“But it’s always the fun part, so no worries if we’re the bad guys tomorrow. We accept that responsibility. We don’t want the country’s pity tomorrow; instead, we want the trophy.”
Is Chelsea capable of defying quadruple dreams?
With the Premier League final and the Champions League final still to come, Liverpool enter the field at Wembley in search of a quadruple.
Tuchel, on the other hand, believes the Carabao Cup final showed his team has what it takes to upset Liverpool.
“They give people chances. We proved it in the Carabao Cup final, where we had a great chance to win. However, it is their strategy,” he remarked.
“By far the most strikers from other teams are caught offside by them. They only play this high line because they are continually putting pressure on the ball.”
“It’s very difficult to exploit these openings because flawless timing is required.” If you have a flawless day, though, you can discover solutions.”
