The United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken has once again urged India to cooperate with a Canadian investigation into the murder of a Sikh Khalistan leader by Indian Intelligence agents.

A State Department statement said, Antony Blinken raised the matter during a meeting with Indian foreign minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Washington and urged him to cooperate with Canada’s investigation.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told parliament earlier this month that Khalistan leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar was murdered outside a temple in Canada in June by Indian intelligence agents.

Meanwhile, another Sikh leader received a written ‘Duty To Warn’ notification from Canadian law enforcement and intelligence agencies alerting him to an immediate threat to his life, allegedly originating from agents associated with the Indian state.
