More SBP academies being established for youth of Punjab: DG

LAHORE - Commissioner Lahore Amir Jan and DG Sports Punjab Tariq Qureshi visited the SBP’s Table Tennis Academy at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall on Tuesday evening. DG Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Mudassar Riaz Malik, Director Admin Syed Umair Hassan, former Test cricketer Aaqib Javed, CEO Lahore Qalandars Atif Rana and Deputy Director Admin Tariq Wattoo were also present on this occasion. DG Sports Punjab Tariq Qureshi also met with table tennis players and enquired about the facilities being provided at the academy. The Commissioner Lahore and DG SBP distributed prizes among the table tennis players. The DG said that Sports Board Punjab is establishing more academies of different games to engage youth of the province in healthy activities. “Hundreds of talented youth are getting top class training under the supervision of qualified coaches in SBP’s sports academies. The SBP will continue to attract young male and female athletes towards sports activities to trace fresh talent for the country.”
