Washington DC: US President Wednesday left the White House for the last time in his term as he will not attend his successor Joe-Biden’s oath taking ceremony, becoming the first president in more than 150 years to refuse to attend the event. Trump, who 45th president of the US, also addressed a small gathering at a brief farewell ceremony held at Joint Base Andrew before flying to Florida from Washington. He was also accompanied by his wife Melania Trump.
Trump said, “We accomplished so much together. I want to thank all of my family and my friends and my staff and so many other people for being here.”He also wished theBiden administration “ great success”, saying think they’ll have great success they have the foundation to do something really spectacular and we put it in a position like it’s never been before.” “I will always fight for you. I will be watching. I will be listening,” he said. “We love you,” Trump said. “We will be back in some form.”Besides listing his achievements in his final speech, Trump also discussed about the coronavirus pandemic. "We did something that is a medical miracle and that is the vaccine," he said.Trump once again called the COVID-19 the “China virus” besides paying great love to families who suffered due to the pandemic.
