Veteran Pakistani actress Firdous Begum passes away

Lahore: Veteran Pakistani film actress, Firdous Begum has passed away at the age of 73 on Wednesday. According to details, the actress was undergoing treatment at a private hospital of Lahore for the last three days after suffering from brain hemorrhage.

The news of her death was confirmed by her family sources who told media that Firdous Begum was rushed to hospital in critical condition on Monday.

Born on August 04, 1947 in Lahore, Firdous started her career in Fanoos in the year 1963.

The superstar of 60s superstar was known for her famous portryal of ‘Heer’ in Lollywood’s blockbuster Heer Ranjha. Some of her other famous films include Khandaan, Malang, Lai Laag, and Aurat.

She married twice in her life, both actors, named as Akmal and Ijaz Durrani.

She featured in more than 150 films including 130 Punjabi, 20 Urdu and three Pushto films.
