The West Bengal Crime Investigation Department has captured two people from a space close to the Kolkata air terminal for illicit ownership of radioactive substances, which have an "expected worth of ₹ 4,250 crore".Following up on a hint, CID investigators captured them.One of the four pieces seized is suspected to be Californium, which has a few down to earth uses and costs something around ₹ 170 crore for one gram, police sources said."They asserted that we purchased the radioactive substances, which weighed 250 gm altogether, from somebody in Karnataka, subsequent to risking upon him via online media," the official clarified.The two blamed have been captured under the Atomic Energy Act and different segments of the Indian Penal Code, the CID official said."We accept these materials have been taken from some research center. We have started a test into this matter," he added.
