WhatsApp continuously works on a plethora of new features to enhance the user experience. The Facebook-owned Instant messaging App is about to roll out a new privacy feature in its next update. The WhatsApp new privacy feature will allow users to hide their last seen status from specific contacts. Previously, if the user wanted to hide their last seen from a specific contact, they had to hide it from everybody.
However, the new feature will allow users to maintain their privacy from select contacts. WhatsApp is currently testing the feature on the Android and iOS Beta App. Reports suggest WhatsApp will allow users to hide their last seen, status, profile picture, and about from certain contacts. So you will be able to exclude a contact from seeing the information you don’t want them to see. Which otherwise could have been done by hiding it from everyone.
You will be able to access the WhatsApp new privacy feature through Settings > Account > Privacy > Last Seen >. The new custom privacy settings are currently under development and may not be available in the immediate update. However, it is important to note that if you hide your last seen from anyone, you won’t be able to see their last seen either.
