Windows 10 users can now get the new Windows 11 Free Update. The latest operating system launches Worldwide on Tuesday. Interestingly, the OS is available for free across the Globe. The new design of the operating system is clean, fresh, and simple. Users will get the Windows 11 update in the coming few weeks if their PC meets all requirements. Only Intel’s 8th generation CPUs or later, AMD Ryzen 3000 CPUs or later, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage at the very least, a 720p display or greater, and a DirectX 12 compatible GPU are compatible with Windows 11.

The latest version of Windows brings a lot of upgrades. It features a brand new UI with an updated Taskbar and Start Menu. It also offers Widgets and the New Microsoft Store app now supports upcoming Android apps. Moreover, Windows 11 users will find themes, Snaps layout, and groups for multitasking, window management, Direct Storage, Auto HDR, and more at their disposal. 

The New Widget Panel keeps all data contained to a side panel rather than scattered across the desktop. Early users claim that the new version’s built-in search function is substantially faster on most devices. However, it favors Microsoft’s services, Bing, and the Edge browser when displaying online results. The Microsoft Store, which is the Windows version of an app store, has been revamped, and now third-party apps will be able to sell in it without paying a cut.

For gamers, Microsoft claims that their new drive technology, Direct Storage, will allow graphics cards to access storage drives without passing through the central processor, resulting in significantly faster loading times in games. After rolling out Windows 11 Free Update, Microsoft will still provide updates and Support to Windows 10 till 2025.
