Apple Self Repair Service for iPhones is now introduced

Apple Self Repair service will allow users to perform repair on their iPhones with access to genuine parts and tools. The service will be accessible in the U.S. early next year for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 lineup. It will soon be followed by Mac computers with M1 CPUs. It will also be available in other countries during 2022.

In the beginning, Apple will focus on common repairs from frequently serviced modules. It will include screen repairs, battery replacements, and camera modules for iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 series. However, it plans to add M1 Mac computers to the Self Repair service as well.

Customers will be able to order authentic parts online. Upon returning the used components for recycle, they will receive a credit against their purchase. Additionally, Apple will also provide manuals for the common repairs. The online Apple repair store will offer more than 200 parts and tools for iPhone repair.

According to Apple, It’s critical that a user first reads the Repair Manual to make sure that they can safely perform a repair. It also states that individuals having the skills and competence to repair electronic devices should use the Apple Self Repair Service.

The Cupertino giant still suggests that the safest and most reliable approach to get a repair is to go to a professional repair shop with licenced technicians that utilize original Apple parts.

However, customers benefit from a long-lasting product that retains its value for years by developing products for durability, longevity, and greater reparability. Apple also releases software upgrades on a regular basis to add new features and capabilities.
