The Department of Schools Education Punjab, cognizant of the alarming increase in conjunctivitis cases, has issued an official directive for the closure of schools from tomorrow, Thursday, until Saturday. Public Holiday on September 29

Adding to the temporary closure, September 29 will observed as a public holiday in the province of Punjab in honor of Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi. This holiday provides an extended break for students and an opportunity for families to celebrate this significant religious occasion.

Crucially, the official notification stresses that children afflicted with conjunctivitis will not permitted to attend school starting from Monday. This measure is in line with health guidelines to prevent further transmission of the highly contagious eye infection.
