Pakistan’s Zahid appointed DG of Asian O-Sports Federation

LAHORE - Pakistan O-Sports Federation (POSF) President Muhammad Zahid Rashid has been appointed as Director General of Asian O-Sports Federation (AOSF) for two consecutive years and has been officially recognized by AOSF Board of Directors. Zahid, who hails from Rawalpindi, while sharing his views after accepting the new role, said: “This is a great honour for me and my country to lead the Asian Obstacle Sports Federation, which is located in Oman while the World Obstacle Sports Federation is Lausanne-based. The total members of AOSF are 46 including India and I am grateful to all the members for having trust in my abilities and I will leave no stone unturned in promoting this game in Asia and also try to create good relations, harmony and brotherhood among all the Asian members,” he said and added: “Pakistan has no dearth of talent and I will try to find fresh talent, groom them and provide them big platform and also hold international events in Pakistan in order to provide them maximum opportunities to excel at higher level. Being Asian head, I will also try to provide such opportunities to youngsters of all Asian countries.”
